Time flies when you’re having fun. It also zips by pretty quickly when you’re growing a company from a single-person home based business to a leading-edge international interior design agency. February 26, 2014 marks the 20-year anniversary of pop design group (pdg), and it’s with immense gratitude that we celebrate this incredible milestone. We could not have achieved this without the support, dedication and creativity our team, loyal long-standing clients, and supportive partners and suppliers.

For a decade we’ve designed comfortable and functional commercial and residential spaces that evoke emotion. Our integrity is directly tied to the happiness of our clients, and we push all limits to accomplish this. From inception pdg principal Julie Okamura has followed the philosophy that successful space design begins with imagination – a union of the mind and soul.

Under Julie’s leadership the pdg team has experienced many wins. In 2008 we designed the Juno Awards after-party venue Seven Restolounge, which was a yearlong labor of love for one of Canada’s premier events. Increased international demand in 2009 prompted the opening of our LA office – and lets face it, we could all use a little more sunshine in our lives. Our proximity to Hollywood’s glitz and glam had an effect on us, and when pdg was approached by HGTV to design for two seasons of the hit TV show House Crashers we jumped at the chance.

2014, and beyond, hold exciting opportunities for pdg, interior design firm, which we’ll be sharing through our new blog and social media channels. Projects in Costa Rica and Belize will bring us into the Central American marketplace, and don’t be surprised if the bright lights of Hollywood entice us once again.
